Finding a therapist who is right for you is important.
Experience and education are part of that determination.
I bring over 20 years of experience working with
men and women, mothers and fathers, and individuals experiencing life transitions, struggling with attention issues,
or experiencing relationship conflict. I have experience working with individuals of diverse racial and cultural identities,
providing inclusive and informed therapy.
My graduate education and training were in
an APA-accredited clinical psychology program.
My four years of coursework included psychological
assessment, forensic psychology, child development
and psychotherapy, and advanced adult psychotherapy techniques. I have additional training in mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) and trauma treatment.
I have a master’s degree in psychology
and I am licensed as a professional counselor
(Texas license #60514).
I bring an understanding of the corporate world, as I was previously an IT executive, managing large system implementations and teams in the healthcare space.
I also bring an understanding of the private school world,
as I was the director of counseling for a Dallas private
boys’ college preparatory school, working with
students in grades 1 through 12 and their families.
